cheapies at $12.95 --- but hey, maybe not bad if brand spankin new___open back, and the white plastic buttons actually look a little old school -- and I bet would be easy to scuff up with steel wool and age/stain them to yellow them up a bit.

Check out C.B.Gitty, he has them for about half that price.http://www.cbgitty.com/cubecart/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=5
yeah, gitty's are cheaper, plus your helping out a member of the nation.
Excellent! have you guys used them? I don't mind slightly sticky tuning (My first CBG has beat to heck Epi LP green peg tuners -- no post sleeves, but once I get my CBG tuned it usually stays tuned until I change it myself)

but just want them to feel solid. ....any experience with these ones?

Thanks again for the link.
I have used them , and they work great.

Bought a set for my 1st cbg. Installed with the bushings but they seemed loose. Drilled the headstock to 3/8 inch and glued in maple dowels. Then I drilled the dowels. Now everything is nice and snug. Looks pretty good, too.
then I'll definitely get my tuners from c b gitty -- too many people have said they work just fine. and that price? and from a good guy? Thanks all for the input! ET

Lots of cheepies on eBay. Don't know how good they are though...
Just checked. C.B. Gitty is currently out of stock on tuning gears.

C.B. Gitty is sold out at the moment but apparently more are on order.
I ordered some cheapies from my local guitar strore AUD$10 but they are REALLY bad. One of them even stripped the thread the first time it was strung - luckily my CBG was three string so I had one spare...The Gitty ones are said to be good, go for it. I intend to order some myself, even though I am overseas.
Sorry I bought his last set and they arrived today. :) I dont know much but when I checked them out the quality seems no different than the Ping Presision tuners I get from my local shop and you cant beat Gitty's price
