Hi All,

i started my built no 4, a fretted 3 string, using the same box as i had for my no 1 which sounds accustically loud with warm tone like an accoustic guitar. I had the chance to play some other CBG last weekend but none of them sound as nice (acccoustically) as mine no 1 built.. All of us have been suprised, and all together we tried to find the "secret" of this box ....... without success, of course.

Yesterday now, i cut out the lid for the new  build and found some interresting fact:

The Lid is laminated and not full wood. Furthermore, its laminated with some gap/spacing inside. Think that makes it sound so nice. Anyone else discovered such a construction of a box and can confirm that there is a link to sound quality?
