Neck not centered on cigar box
I picked up 7 cigar boxes last night. The one I chose to use for a commissioned build I am working on is nice and long but it is narrow. I am thinking of making the neck slightly higher and putting the sound holes on the bottom half of the guitar. The neck would be at the top of the image and you can see a couple of reference marks towards the bottom where I am thinking of aligning the neck. Any thoughts or concerns I need to think about?

Just measured it. 11.25 inches. Not quite long enough. I'm excited about this build. When I made the gits for my kids over Christmas, one of the gals her liked it so much she asked me to build one for her husband for their anniversary. I like this box because even though it is taped, all the joints are in really good shape. I have a couple to touch up but they all look really good. Ill post pics when I am done.

with a mag pup , it wont matter , it may affect it acoustically , but not by much imho.

I actually like the look of the offset necks, the diagonal is sweet too.
Seems like they might even hang a little better. ?
