CGU string height

Hi All

So I finished the Fairy Dust Cigar Box Uke and strung it up. I think the strings are set a little high but I'm not sure.

The bridge is bone and I was wondering. Should I file the slots down so the strings are closer to the fret board or lower the whole nut. What distance should the strings be from the fret board?

1mm for strings at nut and at bridge 2mm wrks for slide and picking
