Is there such an event? If not, why not!

A few of us here on the nation have made contact and are talking about a local gathering. An event to show our boxes, talk about them on every level and all that relates. I've seen related to this going on around or near my area, if there is I'd like information please.

It wouldn't take much to get it started, however if it turned into something big, I'm sure there's enough talent to step up to the plate and organize an event near St. Louis, at a local Deli, club or coffee house needing a few hour of interesting excitement.

If you have ideas or interest, post them here and lets see what develops.

I will be buying my spot soon.

will you have flyers for tacking around town made?

Yes, we're expecting the posters/flyers within the next few days.

cool.

Practice jams in St. Louis area are still open on Saturdays. I'm building some basses right now, some big thumping mothers!

So any jams plans yet saw mention something

Offering to get together for practice jam before fest is here.

Can you use a harp player in any jams during the Fest? It looks like I may be able to attend and I can bring my harps. Been playing for 30+ years. Blues, Rock, Country. Im not great but I can definatly hold my own. I've played in a few bands and would love to participate in playing at the Fest if needed. I also have some light percussion instruments too (maraccas, clave's, guiro, tamborine).

PS: It looks and sounds like you folks are doing a great job of getting this together!

Chuck

chuck there is always room for another harp player, I know Steve plays as well as a couple of others. There is always room for another, I hope you can come and join in the fun.

Can't have too many harp players, no such thing. All your percussion stuff sounds great also. I have 10"-11" congas I'm thinking on bringing. We should pick names from a hat once or twice to form spontaneous groups & songs on open mic. If somebody whats in, they just drop their name in and a few names are pulled for a 2-3 min anything goes. Although the blues are associated with the CBG, any style is encouraged as far as I'm concerned.

Hear as at your place I'm guessing

Mr. C, anybody is welcome to jam across the river at my house here in Edwardsville IL. but it seems far for most. So where exactly to meet up, I'm not sure?

Send me a message with your address ill map quest it
