Good question Sammy. It started life as a 20" scale baritone uke. After rebuilding it due to damage thanks to airline baggage handlers I put appropriate classical guitar strings on to tune it GDae an octave lower than a mandolin. I like this tuning since it expands the range of available notes over the bari uke DGbe tuning. But the bari uke tuning is easier for guitar players so it's a trade off.

Well done Jim, loved it. Just curious from a novice perspective is that fine looking beast a large ukulele, if so is it a baritone scale. cheers buddy keep em coming.

Thanks Wes. Some of us have moved up and the bus just gets used for storage now! I can't play harmonica worth a durn so I thought either a kazoo or whistling would work here but I couldn't find my kazoo.
