thanx shane ,   yeah,  closed  up  , the boards are glued and screwed down ,    the vibs do  carry to  the spring nicely .  i set it up as is    to  be user friendly ..  not too much  .. not too lil  . yet its hard to  notice  . unless you remove it and compare .  

i might  try  multi  springs next  ;-)

kudos on the natural spring reverb.  I've been hip to this technique for a while now.  If you can find a way to make the bridge vibrations touch the spring directly (I'd use a long drywall screw), it actually adds to the reverberation.  Don't be afraid to add 3-5 springs inside, too!
