Thanks Uncle John, yes i made it from an old piano that i chopped up (Ca 1920s). Its poplar with a walnut veneer and it still has a few knocks and dings from its previous 80 odd years of being a piano. Its fretless and the finger board also has the original walnut veneer. The nut is ebony from the black keys of the piano. Gald you like it. Ive got all the parts cut out to make another... once i get my latest gourd banjo and steel cookie tin reso finished.

Man that is nice tone, singing and playin.  I like your stuff Flatfoot.  Did you make that fine banjo?  And is fretless?

Nice performance. I always liked the sound of the mountain banjo. Kind of a weird blend of urgency and melancholy. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy
