I reckon that would work great!  Lots of chemistry floating around in the air.  Try hanging it up in a chicken coop!

Yeah I stopped over at the neighbor`s farm yesterday, he was cleaning out the milking stables and there was a brass name plate  lying on the floor...aged up super nice. He said you want to age any brass or copper just lay it in the corner somewhere for a few days. So I got an old large brass lowe cone I`m going to give it a try.

My method is a pretty good way to ensure no one offers to buy the git off me too!

Thanks Randy.  I have seen that one!  This guy has the "remote broadcast news reporter voice" down pretty well.

This one is just for the dip tank, never mind the lettering stuff.

Well, this morning I decided to take a leak outside to see if it was freezing. . .

Fortunately, frost has not hit my part of the Northeast yet.  But this brass cone is looking pretty bad (just what I want).  And the 2x4?  That's getting hucked over the bank.

The CJ was a numbers matching basket case.  I had to let go of the body and get a replica (steel).  I saved all the data plates.  The steel tub is in the crate behind the work table.  I'm up to wiring and having the firewall and dash will help make that a lot easier.  Couple tricky bits to figure out first.  A couple small bolts snapped off in the block and 2 hold the throttle linkage.  Booger.

I saved all the data plates so it will still appear to be #s matching to those not in the know.  I'm really just looking for a runabout, not a full on restoration.
