Just finished a cajon and put it right to work. A little sloppy, but I can't believe how good it sounds for what it is.

Thanks Roadkill and UJ and Linda.

eK - I ran a 1 1/4" dowel through the box and screwed the snares to the dowel.  There are handles on each end of the dowel so that it can be adjusted and locked into place where you want it.  Pretty much just like this guy did.

Just out of curiosity, most cajon construction articles discuss how difficult it is to get the snare part working properly. How did you do the snares on yours?

Turtle!  We almost missed this.  Excellent production, playing and singing.   The cajon sounds super.

+1 w/Vinylhed. I like your version better. Nice 'boom-chuk' beat you have going. Has a lot more drive whereas the original was just a little too laid back and glitzy in places. Very nice performance!
