Thanks for all the encouraging comments. And, yes Hollowbelly, Norm has been teaching me how to dampen with both left and right hands. Today we had a go at Baby Please Don't Go so expect a video in several weeks.

you seem to have mastered one aspect of slide playing a lot of folk miss-playing it clean by damping with the fingers behind the slide-hence no unwanted overtones.Neat.
