My first video playing (or attempting to) Wayfaring Stranger. The guitar is the third one I made - three string fretted with humbucker near the neck and and two piezos under the bridge. I made the arrangement quite a while ago, but have only done one verse, so that's why it's quite short. There didn't seem to be much point in just repeating the same stuff a second time.

Thanks for all of the comments. I thought this one was pretty much forgotten.

Murray. Sorry. I'm not sure how I missed your comment. Much appreciated none the less.

SJ. Thanks. You are very kind, but I also think you are too hard on yourself. What you do is great and the overriding point of the whole exercise is to have fun. No point otherwise. Glad to know that my friend Tophat is still here.

David. Thanks for the comments and advice. Clearing up the background involves clearing my house (or at least part of it). In that respect I think you ask too much, but I know what you mean.

Mark. Thanks for "sticking up for me". The thing is that I am confident that all comments on this site are meant in a constructive way, and that is how I will take them so I appreciate everything that has been written even if I may be a bit slow to put it all into practice.

Thanks to all of you.

John

LOL, Criticise the mans art AND career in one shot! I guess now you want John to look at the camera while he plays too......

And the pants with a seam on the knee have to go too.....

Hey John, (with all due respect to David, Just givin' ya a hard time, I know it was meant as constructive!) The video is fine, serves its purpose perfectly. Good stuff. Way to show us all how its done. I thought the build set the bar high, then you went and learned to play it! Sheez its intimidating!

John-

Really nice playing, good audio. On the photo end of things, get a taller stool so you're not shooting your knees/crotch. Use a strap so you con't have to rest the guitar on your lap. Back the camera up and use a longer lens. Tidy up your background- clear of distractions (and sunny windows).

Now shoot us another video- this is great stuff.

Hi Craig.

Thanks for the comment. Yes. The song is a long term favourite of mine. I remember it from when I was a kid and my parents had a record with it on, played by Burl Ives I think.

All the best.
