Minglewood Blues on the Gus Cannon style banjo

This song is from Gus Cannon and the Jug Stompers. I figured it was a good one to do on this banjo built from a frying pan and a guitar neck like Gus' first ...

Thanks Wade, it's not skunk but it is from a small mammal that my trapper buddy skunt and dried for me. I've used goat, calf and groundhog skin before and I think any small animal would work. I usually purchase them from a banjo or drum making supplier.

Hey, Jim; hey, hey ... Now that banjo's what I'd truly call a "diamond in the rough"! One has to open his eyes to believe what he's hearin'! Sounds so good, though, as do you. Love that blues!

So funny we should both be building banjo's at the same time ... ;-))

Thanks Unc. Nobody can do it like Gus but I think he used a flatpick on banjo and that's what I did to try and get close to his sound.
