It has some magnetism and polarity ,after inducing a strong field to it, but not enough, so the rest of the assembly will have a perm. magnet on the bottom of the slab and the top will be exposed to the strings like a lip-stick pick-up...., I wanted to use more turns of wire, but because of the reaction I got on my magnitizer I felt what I started out with was making the most of the iron in the slab in conjunction with the Var. resistor I'm using,,,,Also the exposed surface of the slab sweeps 4-strings : )

Is the slab of meteorite magnetic, like a lodestone, or is it just being used as a top for the pup?
