I was a bit thrilled to see this title and you doing the song.  Incredibly good playing.  Seems to me you use that small string kind of like on a dulcimer.   I like the way you sing it too.  

 

I remember learning and singing this song for a Christmas program in 8th grade.   The teacher wanted us to roll our Rs.   Some could.  Some couldn't.  I couldn't.
