This song is about leaving his jumper on the clothesline as a sign to his lady friend that he was free for some hanky panky    R.L had a unique sound and you did not want to cheat at dice when you were playing with him.   He shot and killed a dice cheater, did time in prison and at one time said, "I didn't mean to kill nobody. I just meant to shoot the sonofabitch in the head and two times in the chest. Him dying was between him and the Lord."
