Weekly get together - music and a couple beers. Big Box tenor in DGBE (Chicago Tuning). Mandolin built by the ESTEEMED Jim Morris.

My Rambling Ways – (I think it is) by Guy Davis

[G] Save me momma, from my rambling ways.
[C] Save me momma, from my rambling [G] ways.
Or I'm [D] doomed to ramble, [C] til' my dying [G] day.

Please, pretty momma, don't bar me from your door. (x2)
Cause' I'm broke and hungry and I got no place to go.

I need a cool drink of water, from deep down in your well. (x2)
I got songs I can sing. I stories I can tell.

I looked in your window as I was passing by. (x2)
I could smell you baking that good old cobbler pie.

(repeat verse one)

Great Old Time Beer Buddy Blue's Band

Comment by Uncle John on March 31, 2016 at 3:26am

Thanks J., Silent and Jamie.

Jamie, that harp was made in CHINA.

Silent, want to do a band but we can not reach agreement on a name.   I want us to be 'John's Beer Bucket Boys'.   Ted is stupidly, stubbornly insistent on 'Ted's Beer Bucket Boys.'   I offered a compromise, 'Unc's Beer Bucket Boys,'  - and he refuses.  This could be the end of a friendship and potential band.  :(

Cool stuff! You guys sound good together. I'm a little surprised and happy that the mando hangs in there volume wise with that big box! And I'm NOT steamed. Maybe half baked but not steamed.
