If I Needed You ~ cover of a Townes Van Zandt song

On a BEG# tuned vintage CBG and Iowegian Pocket Tuba. Done here in the key of E. I=E, IV=A, V=B7

If I needed You ~ By Townes Van Zandt

If I [I] needed you, Would you come to me?
Would you come to [IV] me And [V] ease my [I] pain?
If you needed me I would come to you.
I would swim the [IV] seas For to [V] ease your [I] pain.

In the night forlorn, the morning is born
& the morning [IV] shines with the [V] light of [I] love
You will miss sunrise If you close your eyes
And that would [IV] break My [V] heart in [I] two

She is with me now since I showed her how
To lay her [IV] loving [V] hand in [I] mine
Who would not agree she's a sight to see
A treasure [IV] for The [V] poor to [I] find

harp and repeat verse one.

Thanks, Andries.  That little box and ADF# or GEG# tuning sure makes it easy to play in D or E.

Thanks, James O.  No worries, I have a bear dog.

Thanks, AGP.  We've been shoveling the neighbor's snow as they are gone more than half the time.  They have been thanking us with bottles of wine.

Thanks, Bob.  It's sure a good song.   I like Towne's version the best.

Thanks, Kale.  I'd love to have you along, but I am not driving.  Let me check with Dave.  I wonder if you could arrange for some good Tex-Mex food or BBQ if we pick you up?   Do you have any musical instruments to bring along?

Some good ol' Uncle John picking and blowing. Seeing James O's vids, it sounds like you guys had a ton of fun at Callifest last year. I'm thinking I need to jump in with you guys this year. You coming through Texas?

Great performance Unc J! Your vocals and choice of instrumentation have done credit to this beautiful song. Thanks also for the detail info and words.

Thanks, T.  Good song, sir.  Townes wrote a bunch of them.

Thanks, Dave,  It probably takes a fellow harp player to know I was doing some chording instead of single notes.  Ha, if I had not learned to play the song just an hour before doing the video, I probably would have done more single notes and less chording.
