Great lesson Patrick! Yeah, accuracey with the slide - there's the rub. Good luck with the new band!

Thankyou John.

There's more than way to skin a cat I guess. I tried to get as close to the recording as I could.

Only just learned it but I'll work it up I reckon, getting a new band together doing a mix of early blues and gospel so this will fit in really well. I'm chasing up a few more of the good Reverend's tunes as well, he was one hell of a player.

Patrick:

Excellent playing and teaching...thank you. I play it exactly as you do  Dead thumb bass, and the same melody line.

Uncle John:

I like Keni Lee's version as well. He uses an alternating bass, and a somewhat different melody line.

Patrick, that would be appreciated.  Thank you, sir.

Cheers folks. I'd love to know how you get on should you have a go at it.

And Unc, Trouble is not a slide piece but I'll get on to it when my 4 string arrives from the UK.

Excellent!

Keni Lee Burgess covered this lesson some time back.   But you two good teachers and great players do it differently.   Good lesson!

Lesson request:  Blind Willie's Trouble Soon Be Over.  It sounds kind of like a one chords song, but I can never get it right enough to suit me.
