Here is “razor burn “ .
I took a vintage lady’s electric shaver , and used the coil set up inside for a pick up . it actually picks up sound between the poles . and works awesome- as you can hear .
Yes, - you saw right I put the volume and tone and jack in the headstock to be different , and ran the wires down the truss rod channel .
The body was an old BC Rich warlock , I chopped it up a bit .
The routed out space in the back for the original controls poked into my new cut design , so I made it a pocket for my slide , with a piece of belt .
The star fret markers are a bunch of charms I bought in bulk a while ago.
I flipped the original bridge upside down because it holds a bolt nicely .
I used the original bridge points as stoppers for the string ends in a hinge at the tailpiece .
I cut a piece of painted plastic for a pick guard that you can’t really see in these pics too good . it hides the other pickup hole .
The black around the razor pickup is the cut original back cover .
Hope ya like her .. and you go out and start taking old electric razors apart ;-)
