Looks fantastic Jim. Sure sounds like a dulci too! I wonder how a 4x2 would sound? ;)

Thanks for the kind words Ben! You probably noticed that I used your method of removing top and bottom planks and then cutting the body into what you called a "tuning fork" shape. That saved some work from my original thought of hollowing it out with a router. Plus, I hate routers

Thanks AGP. The ideas and inspiration come from lots of places. Thanks to Shane's post and CBN's 2x4 challenge this one was irresistable for me!

Just when a man thinks he's running out of Build Ideas, up pops this lovely Old Rustic Instrument, "Thanks Jim", another one for my "To Do" list   :-D

Thanks Erasmo. I've had those multiples happen to me before when I click on 'Add Comment' and it doesn't go through so I click it again and all of a sudden I've doubled my comment. Don't know about being a winner but it was a fun build since making replicas of historic instruments is what got me started with CB instruments.

Thanks for the comment(s) Unc. Laying on your back must've made you hit that button in multiples. New harp song is a bonus.
