Well, what started out as a stomp block project ended up with what’s in this video. The song is just some riffing on some more homemade junk. Last week I made a couple of stomp blocks from hardwood flooring samples I got at Lowe’s, and piezo disks from some one-dollar open door alarms. One stomp block is a plain block, and the other has a hole drilled in it that contains bb’s for a tish sound. I looked on the Internet for samples of people playing stomp blocks and found a guy named Juzzie Smith playing a didiredoo, lap steel, stomp blocks, and a harmonica. Juzzie is a very talented musician and has a unique setup that got me thinking.
Anyway, after watching Juzzie I had to build a cajon drum and a didgeridoo and give them a whirl. Got a kick drum pedal behind my right foot, playing it with my heel. The stomp box with the bb’s is under my left foot, plugged into a Fish ‘n Chips eq, then into a Peavey Bandit 112. This is a LOT of fun to play. Gotta learn some Juzzie Smith songs next. Enjoy! Check out Juzzie for a real treat...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J23ysR3jXc

Very cool Mike! Didn't know there was anyone else on here that played the didge, it sounds great. I built my own out of PVC pipe and i have a few Yucca stalks that im planning on making into intruments as well.

Sounds great.  But I can't help thinking what this would sound like recorded in the bathroom. . .

Gees, Mike.  This setup looked FOOLISH.  Then I hear it.  Just great.  Makes me smile.
