well, 10 would be a guestimate, I bought a package of 10 wheels last december, and I have 3 left unused, and just put in #7 I have easily made 100 slides maybe more. so I don't know?? I have found that I keep 2 disc in mandrels, I use one to cut the neck off then another to polish the edge smooth. as one gets to where its not cutting really well any more it still works to polish, thus extends the life a bit.

Hey Man I'm using the same method. How many slides do you get from one wheel? I have made about 10 cutting off both top and bottom. I agree about the wine bottles. They tend to have a straighter profile and more mass. Mass = Tone

Well, who would have thought it... I have all the bits I need already; the trouble is that we Australian only use "wine Casks"..... :)

Not really true of course!

Thank you
