Doing things like this is always a learning excercise, and sometimes is easy to concentrate on what wasn't quite right and forget all the good stuff.  Having a venue that is supportive and helpful (and free!) is a real plus...decent PA run by helpful people..(again free), performers willing to travel and play for free...it all helps to make things work. Yes, the bar was tight - narrow rooms like this are always difficult to work, but having the beer garden was good. Having helpful and enthusiastic people around is always a plus point, keeping things simple and manageable with minimal financial risk is the way to go.....minimal risk, maximum enjoyment.

Hi all and thanks for your comments. I have edited 2 more compilations and then I have a little finale in store. It has been a good excercise going through all the footage seeing what worked and what could be improved on so I have lots of ideas for making the next event even better for all concerned.  The feedback from everyone has been good although I know there were a few concerns about the size of the venue and the setup which I will address at a later stage and I think I will have sorted with the venue I have in mind for the next gig. It was a learning experience for all of us but I am still available to help organise if anyone wants me - it didn't put me off!

Looks as though a good time was had by one and all.....

Hope I can get to the next one!

PS I'm still enjoying strumming your "paintbox" CBG that I bought from the Newton Abbott shop back in April!
