It's Kelvin. Gets spelled wrong all the time.

Or is it Cal? I watched some other of his vids with different spellings.

Cool Milt! Thanks for that. Kel could come to WV and jam with us any time!

Here's one of the guys I have known for years. One of Western Canada's best Metis fiddlers and he's a friend of mine. Old bad video and I'm sorry.

You are fortunate to have Metis fiddlers close to you. Canadian fiddling has certainly had an influence on our playing here in West Virginia. Cape Breton fiddling and of course Cajun style which came down from Canada long ago have all found a place with us who play traditional Appalachian tunes. It's interesting to me that the music which came over with Scots/Irish and other Europeans blended with other groups. Native tribes in the case of Metis and African influences in the case of S.Appalachian playing and developed distinct regional styles.

There is a great tradition of Canadian fiddle players. I play with some of the most incredible Metis fiddlers. My wife's family is a long line of old time fiddlers. Maple Sugar anyone?
