Full disclosure: I recorded all three parts separately on this one.  I found I could sing and play it on the acoustic but not quite as well on the CBG.  Getting the rhythm down is the hard part. 

I think of it kinda like a polka with the emphasis on beats 2 and 4.  oom-PAH, oom-PAH, oom-PAH, oom-PAH - strum on the "PAH".   Hope that makes sense.

Hey Turtle.  Much good on you.  You aced this great song on the singing and a real good version on the playing.  I like how you sing it better than young Hank. 

I tried for weeks, but like Jeff, If I could not do this song.     Thanks to you.

Thanks all.  I too learned of this song from Uncle John a few weeks ago, and its been stuck in my head ever since.  Hank III obviously has the pedigree, and to me, he captures the essence of country.   His metal stuff isn't my cup of tea, but I like the idea.

It's cool that he is carrying on the tradition of his grand daddy.

I've loved this song since I first heard it on the BBC's Lost Highway documentary about country music. I immediately rushed out and bought all the Hank III I could find.
Your version's great, and I love the video.

good job! i was gonna do this cause uncle john turned me on to the song last year, but i found i could play it, i could sing it, but i couldnt do both at the same time
