This almost as bad as selling used tennis shoes on ebay for a $1000. Glad you posted this because I looked em up and sure enough, they are up for sell at that price.

I was lookin at a Les Paul 1970s from the US about 2 years ago I loved it I wanted it Left hander as I am 3500 Swiss frank's I have shop made uke. Banjo and guits. I dont play them now so much just the stuff i build.

Love it. If I had the 3500 for the guit I would Have got it. A bit of history ;-)

@HW - I can't completely agree with the innovative part. Single string spike-fiddles go back a long way in music history. As does the tromba marina from the Middle Ages. (Talk about innovation with that "shaking bridge" and stopping the string above the bowing point!) And single string "button" pickups were found on some old 7-string archtop jazz guitars under the low B back in the 50s until they incorporated them into a single 7-string pickup later on.

Don't get me wrong. It's a lovely looking thing even if I'm not overly impressed with the sound. And value is in the eye of the beholder - or buyer - as the case many be. No argument from me there. But I can't help thinking that for the money, there's nowhere near enough value received to justify that sort of price tag. But that's probably just me. :-)

I also like the sound of Bemuzik's version of a bass DBow better. ;-))

I know what you are sayin but some guy on a cotten farm was makin em in 1800s. Ok no amp ;-)  just an old box bath tub. But I know what you mean;-)

Oh I'm sure it's a nice instrument Harrison, I'm sure a lot of the price is the makers mark on it. I think it's a cool lookin' stick, just a tad outta my price range :-/
