Uncle John many thanks for that It's been puzzling me for years....and I used a G harp but the guitar was in D so it works...

Nice beat, harp - all around good.

For cross harp/blues harp, use the same harp as the IV chord.  Key of G - count the G as one, A is two, B is three and C is four-  so use a C harp to play cross harp with G. 

Key     cross harp

A             D

C             F  

D             G

E             A

Straight or melody harp is when the harp is the same key as the song.

Thanks Clock and Woolf and Calim....I'm just getting started.....this drum pedal sounds a bit fake... but the cheap high hat sounds ok.. It was probably better on the bass drum setting...

I might be up a bit to meet with the harmonica which is a G...

(Can someone please explain how you match blues harmonicas to tunings?... as it looses me)

Hope this helps. I will try and do some riff lessons... bascially you play the notes that sound right make up some riffs keep hitting the bass note with ya thumb. Bend strings, hammer ons and pulloffs... make up some more

riffs string them together,then feel your way though it will some expression.....Close your eyes listen if it sound wrong move up a fret until it sounds ok...with a bass note payed with each note

and 4 notes on position 3 and 5 the 2thin strings, with hammering and bending and pulloffs and sliding up

you can more or less play the blues.... keep it simple but keep thudding that bass in time...
