Thanks go to Mr Justin Johnson for the note order/arrangement that I learned from. Thank you.

Well Bear, one needn't be religious to feel like something inexplicable has renewed their life. Several years ago I had pretty much given up on music and sold most of my guitars and equipment. Burnt out from the bar gigs I suppose. Then by chance I came across a group of local folks playing traditional Appalachian music on banjos and fiddles outdoors just for fun. I thought this might be music I could play as I grow old. Then I came across CB guitars and I felt even more rejuvenated. A higher power? Pure chance? I don't know but hey, Amazing Grace is such a powerful melody and powerful idea that even an agnostic like me can relate!
Using slide a lot and even somewhat prefering slide for that beautiful rattle from vibrato I'm looking at building a fretless three string soon. Problem being my builds never seem to sound as good as the ones I've bought in the past. I saw a great looking (as in dirty and beat up) guitar on eBay but it's got a pine neck. I love the look of it but I believe pine isn't something that's likely to last? Anyway, fretless is awesome. Slide is cool. Best of fortunes with your playing and thanks again for the comment.
Yep - same here. I missed going to the St.Louis fest a couple weeks ago, but a friend of mine set up a booth. He got Justin to sign one of my guitars. ;-) One of the first lessons I got from Justin's YouTube video was "Rollin & Tumblin" since my first CBG was fretless.
Thanks Gary. I only know Justin Johnson through his YouTube videos and I found him to have a really good delivery in those. I'm hoping to get his DVDs once I can afford a couple at a time to save on postage. But yes I find his lessons to be awesome. Hey thanks for the comment and the compliment too. Much appreciated.
Nicely played! Justin is an ace teacher, is he not?
Only because I'm not singing, Jim haha. I'm not religious but it is definitely a beautiful song and an absolute classic, perhaps the greatest of classics even. Thanks very much for the comment Jim. Much appreciated.
How sweet the sound!
Thanks Uncle John. I'm usually a slow learner and I was on this too. One thing I've learned other than the song is that music is as much about feeling and expressing emotion as it is about the note order. I think it's called inflection? Anyway, I'm edumacted in learning this and hopefully I can carry that particular lesson on into other songs. Thanks again Uncle John.
One string, deep goodness. You do have it!
In the immortal words of Homer Simpson "Woohoo". Thanks Wes.
