First of all thanks and welcome back!
It is a frame cut in half from a first act brand drum (Goodwill-find)
Oh man i had this beautiful bowl, just gorgeous. I had the hole cut in the back skin was wet stretched and stapled.
Then while i was carefully tapping the staples in and then the bowl breaks!!
Sooooo I had to cut the skin smaller and this was laying around so i had to make lemonade from lemons!

Very cool J! Is that made from a Remo bongo? They work great for banjos.
