Comment by Seaman Jay on January 19, 2012 at 11:16pm: It's just a Russian balalaika, not really Baltic, not really Eastern European. The tuning is kind of "dropped prima" ;-) - usually it is tuned E-E-A.

version of the Mongol Dombra... thought the tune had a Celtic quality to it, though.
