hey there! This is Heidi from the "Little Bones" video... you suggested that we cover "Angel From Montgomery"... Sadly, I do not know this song... I will have to look it up! Thanks for the suggestion... I hope all is well.

I checked out your pics today. Nice Gits. I love the bass!  That will be my third build for my wife. She is a bass player. My 2nd build will have a heavier neck and a 1/4" walnut fretboard,  and frets.  Can't wait to get started. Guess I'll reinforce the box also.

Thanks John for the comment on my first build.  It looks great but I can't seem to get it to sound great.  I had to use a big nut because the tuner posts stick up so high, thus a high action.  I guess thats ok for a fretless slide cbg but maybe it also hinders the crisp sound.  It could also be the fact that I know nothing about slide playing.  I did figure out one song but that's it so far.  The pickups work good and that helps some with the sound.  I may try the heavy neck on my next build.  I will also be fretting that one.  Do they offer shorter posts on the tuners?  If not, how do you get a close action when you have to raise the nut up in order for the strings to be tight?  Thanks for your help, and keep in touch.  Mark

Thanks for the comments on my "Move it On Over" cover.
It's cool to have something up here from almost a year ago and get people coming back to it.

Hey uncle john, im really happy to get your input, & you are totally on the ball, the placement of the controls is not the best,

I wanted to fit them through the top of the guitar, but the lid was too thick..so that was the next best place,

Its ok playing with the strap fitted though, (but sitting down my thighs turn the volume up, haha. the amp was pretty trashed, worn & ripped vinyl covering. i decided to take it all off and recover it,but after ide taken it off,i really liked how it looked, so i decided to leave it as it was :) thanks again for your time unc, thats give me a real buzz :)

Thanks UJ - good luck with the bass. They are fun but a little tricky to build. Mine is a fretless 30" scale 3 stringer. Let me know if I can help with anything. Take care!
