Spencer, man, I found so much cool shit today at the flea market. I found two really old wooden boxes. The label is etched into the wood, no paper. I found some really cool things to use for resonators... it's been a most profitable day, indeed.
I just ordered one of the Tesla Transducers from Tred Crocker... I can't wait for it to get here. Some guy traded me a Gibson SG in decent shape and an old acoustic 6 string for a CBG. I have some interesting builds in the works. How's it going with you??

Hey there Spencer how's it going man... I caught your video just before I had to run out tonight, very cool. I like the builds, I hear you on needing to get a few of them out of the door. Although I did sell a 4 string while I was out tonight.. No 9 was a bit of a departure turned the box around, through the box bridge and slotted headstock....But I am happy with the outcome and since tuners come in 6 I have another one on the way... Take care - Jim

I don't do a whole lot of walking sticks anymore... I usually have to carve a notch to accomdate the height of the tuning peg. I started using bamboo. It grows everywhere, it's free, very durable but flexible, and I can cut the length I need so my tuning peg hole has a proper diameter of material to go through. My only real expense is the tuning peg and the guitar string. People usually give my $10 for one unless they want something a little flashier. And if you have kids that are out of control, a bamboo diddly leaves a nice welt !!

Thanx for the comments.. I can't believe you commented about the Browns...thems fuedin' words !!! The Java box is really cool. Nice box... did you make it or was it a lucky find? I also like the way you use the cut off to form a headstock, real sweet !!

Hey Man - Liking the Java video.... Good times. Thanks for the comments. Building the neck is pretty much a rip off from most acoustic guitar necks. I am lucky enough to have acquired a pretty good tools over the years so I can re-saw and thickness the wood myself. If you want more specifics either check out any of the guitar making books that are out there. Or let me know and I'll do my best to help out. Hope it helps take care - Jim

Hey. You inspired me. I threw together an angled headstock box last week.

No live ammo bridge, though....

Spencer , On that Hardware Store Special" that's just small brass washers super glued over the holes Then I put the smallest nut I can find on the bottom ,it keeps the strings from pulling into the wood . Haven't gotten any brass revits YET, But Stewart Mac has some in the pickup section....

Thanks for the comment on the Diddlybow, you have some mighty legit builds yourself ;)

Thanks for the kind words. I love the ink pen bridge. I was gonna try a chicken bone for the bridge on my next build, but I'm guessing that's not dense enough to carry the vibe through. But, then again, what does it matter...?
