Thanks for the welcome. You've certainly ramped up to the new format nicely with all kinds of stuff!!! I checked out all the pics of your guitars; you've been busy man.
The canjo definitely started it for me. It was while I was searching for info on them on the internet that I came across the cigar box guitar movement. I had heard of CBGs in a general sort of way, but had never really thought much about them. Since I enjoy cigars on occasion, I had a few old boxes laying around, so I grabbed one and created my first CBG. I must admit it's grown into a bit of an obsession now. The guy who originally got me the canjo is now just as into it as I am, and we're always on the lookout for interesting junk or old wood (preferably reclaimed) to use in our tinkering. It helps that we were able to sell 3 pieces to a private collector for decorative purposes, to help cover a small percentage of what we've put into it.
Anyway, thanks for the encouragement. You have a lot of nice looking pieces in your photos. I envy you your log cabin. I am stuck in a tarped-off section of the basement for the duration of the New England winter.
Hey Shane! Thanks for welcoming me to this site, nice cabbin an guitars you have there man! Realy nice craftsmanship! Thanks and best wishes.

Thanks Shane, I am more of a lurker at the moment but i enjoy the creativity and talent that is found in this group-(Over 1 1/2 years). Your Tuning vid was most enjoyable and informative. How did you get your gbg to emulate the sound of a truck? Ha Ha- I am struggling to find the proper tone, volume and blender pots to use on my current project (2nd build). Any specific advice is all ways welcome. Thanks again for the invite-I'm Happy to be here and part of the "Nation". Sincerely, Steve
Cheers Shane
just need to play with the piezos to get them sounding right
but to be honest i aint been able to put it down as it sounds way cool unplugged - just want to here it instead of messing about with the piezos -they can wait !!
juju.
Thanks for the request, it's kinda cool cuz the whole nation's
actually from the revolution. it's like going to a new place &
you know everybody there already
Howdy Shane -- Your log cabin shop in the Alabama backwoods sounds like everybody's dream. Videos & my dial-up connection don't get along very well, unfortunately, but I'm lookin' forward to seeing what you've got going on in there!
thanks man. It is so cool that this avenue for creativity has gotten to where it is today. Makes me happy to see all of the interesting guitars people have made. Honestly puts mine to shame.
