Those songs you said you'd love to play on are getting released July 20th. I hope you like the Artwork!! I totally envy you for being overseas, however, I will be there by the end of summer. We should jam!! ~ Mojo
Thanks for the comments Shelley. The Camacho amp is the result of my unwillingness to cut up the box for speaker opening, etc., and it worked out quite nicely, and sounds great, too. I hope to attempt a uke in the near future, and I hope I can pick your brain for basic details, e.g., scale length, number of frets, and other important stuff. I really appreciate your creativity and the results produced. Have a great day, Jess.
Shelley: It is easy to see your graphic arts ability in your creations. Stop by my blog sometime (http://totalrojoguitars.blogspot.com/) and let me know what you think. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Shelly, yes thats the one. Do you have any measurments for the design? I did play one. it had a awesome loud booming sound like one would expect from a good quality uke. My understanding is that Sam Kamaka made many of these ukes. I saw one on e-bay a couple of monthe ago. I'm getting materials together to make a few of these uklele. I have 5 of the correct boxes now. regards, James
Hoi Shelley, Dank voor je leuke reactie. Ik kom waarschijnlijk op 3 feb even kijken in de Unie. 27 feb weet ik nog niet of ik kan. In wat voor bezetting speel je dan? Met band of duo?
Saterday whe are flying to Leichester (UK) to see the last show from Ben Prestage , together with Ian Siegal .
In June Ben is gonna play two weeks in the Netherland and Belgium . There is a big chance that Chickenbone John is gonna play with him . If you don;t know Ben Pretage , go on U tube and you find some nice movies, Did you send me a message with another name?
Hello Shelley; just want you to know that whe are trying to do that cigarbox festival , next year. Theo Looijmans from RootsBlues and myself did a tour with Ben Prestage (florida) and whe want to do something with Ckickenbone John from the UK. Its a few years in my mind !and i cant get it off.

I was looking at your post of the antique roadshow CBG. Thanks for posting. I always enjoy seeing the real deals. They definitely over valued it. If it was complete and fully functional, yes, but in it's condition maybe $250 tops. Enjoy.
I learned a lot from my grandfather and my father unwittingly allowed me to learn even more by ruining his tools. My grandfather once told me, after I ruined something,
"You're not a good craftsman until you learn how to fix all of your mistakes"
It would be nice to build just what I want to build, every day. But gosh-darn reality n' bills keep gettin' in the way. ;-)
Don't waste your time Shelly, I've had 57 years to figure out who I am and I'm still not sure that I'm sure. YT? That's short for Yucatan. Although some people on the net use YT as an abbreviation for youtube.
Moniker ?...did I say that ? I'm sorry, I wear tri-focals...huh, my mistake.
Ya' know, I could be mistaken. It's quite possible there's another uke-playin', uke-buildin',
woman livin' in the Netherlands that bears some similarities with you. Strange, cuz' I usually have a good memory. Well, I admit it's really short..., but it's good. Okee-Dokee then, uhm...sorry to intersturb you. Nice meetin' ya' tho', take care. :-) Wally
Hey, good to stumble across you here Shelly. You may or may not remember the odd little man from YT, Profwaldo. Well, I've come-out of the cigar box and dropped the monicker. Great minds think alike I guess, ha-ha-ha. Have fun n' take care ! Wally :-)
Thanks for being my friend. You are awesome on your videos. I just started playing the Ukulele and absoulutely love it. Of course i dont have the voice of an angel like you. keep up the good work.
Have you recorded anything I can purchase to support your efforts? Thanks to your blog and inspiration, I'm planning on building a washtub bass, and one of my next two builds is going to be a uke.
