Thanks for the comment on my picture of Kokopelli sound hole. Means a lot coming from someone of your building ability.

Hey Rodney
Yes sometime you wish you wish you never started things hey lol!! - thing is though is to keep at it , i know hwen i first started my #1 pup i had loads of trouble , with the wire - kept snapping on the start up of the lathe must have tried a dozen times and was ready to give it up as a bad job , once i got a feel for the tension on the wire i was away , my second pup went smooth as hell , but it's a lot of messing about on the lathe so now i'm on with the pickup winder !
you sure made a good job of yours for all the stress it caused you , it's much better to be able to build your own pups than using peizos or six sring pups , i'm hoping the more i make the easier they will get ??
Thanks for the reply mate
keep well
juju.

hi Rodney
thanks for the comments on my tunes glad you like them
i also like to dry clamp and pin/peg both the headstock and fretboard prior to the glue-up it saves disapointment , nothing worst than spending time making somthing then it all goes wrong when you encounter Glue slippage , i even pinned the laminated neck laminates on the Reso build ,turned out spot on .
thanks for the reply hope you have a good week
regards
juju.

Hey Man - thanks for the comments on the shower drain reso... It's not the real deal but it does sound pretty cool. I don't have enough builds to tell you if it is the way to go yet. But I am very interested in these. I found some small cake pans (4") at a craft store I am going to try next. I plan on making a tray and installing them upside down. I'll keep you posted.... Unless of course someone else has been down that road and knows better. Thanks again your build is incredible. Did you wire the pickup?

Hi Rodney
Thanks for the kind words regarding my builds - you have some very nice builds yourself and i love the fact your making your own pickups , theres nothing finer than building a guitar and adding your own pickup , i'm just starting to build a pickup winder as i intend never to buy another pickup lol!!
i started building a year ago just , but only managed to build four CBG's oh and the mini model reso so that makes it 4 & 1/4 - like your amp aswell thats one thing i do need to try building , think they look cool with the same box as the guitar and a matching stomp box would go down good aswell .. oh so many projects and so little time
Keep up the good work yourself

best regards
juju.

hey brother i,m a new guy too, i have only found out about cigarbox guitars in novenber of last year. i jumped in with both feet and been amazed at the kinda work people are doing here. i been building guitars since 1991 but did not build over 25 or 30 cause they were so time-consuming,but cigarbox guitars build faster and are really cool to me.so with that said i always like to encourage and compliment people that deserve it because a positive attitude is always helpful to most folks.

Hey Rodney I am going to check out that video... What is in the center of the neck block? Is there someplace that shows more of the details? What do you think about using flashing, have you tried that (might be too thin). Like your stuff man... Thanks for the comments - Take care
