I already use those 'hangers'!! Got them from the pound shop or Tescos or somewhere... they are fine for lightweigt CBGs, though to be honest I even hang my strat and acoustic on them!
Heyup, thanks for accepting the request, found out about this site thanfully through your amazing article in thursdays star. The guitar on my profile is one of my thingys...its actually a 1962 BSA bantam engine casing ...sounds good though! Gonna be working/ or am working with various musicians from Sheffield (north) on creating a community music group, we have backing from various sources and wonder if you may like to become involved?, no commitments..just have a chat and see what we intend to be doing, you,re welcome to call in for a coffee and chat whenever..just email at planecrazydude@aol.com if you want to arrange?? up to you mate..like i say ...no commitments. If you,re interested and want to know a little more about me then feel free to have a look at www.britishcustomguitars.com . now defunct due to the global crap ..but still alive bellow the surface ha ha,
Well, I will try not to climb on my soapbox but, isn't it funny we fought England for our freedom and a simple thing like public space is governmentally controlled. I have to laugh. Europe is definately more accepting and nuturing of musical ideas in my opinion. Also, maybe less sexually constipated too. Hell, Jimmy Hendrix went to England, hooked up with a couple of english cats, returned home a star. Remember my ancestors where English. I love America, but I worry about things like the Patriot Act. I watch episodes of English Parliment. Great stuff. Makes our congress look like a night shift at the morgue. LOL I think I might have said to much. Big Brother is watching. Better go back and play more guitar quietly on my back porch. I know my place.
Thank you for all your warm wishes. After years of playing "in" NYC (and I mean "in" as in under the ground LOL), I will have the opportunity to be on the actual streets and not worry about the Police. I learned this Rev. Gary Davis song "Oh Glory" or "How Happy I Am" from Woody Mann many years ago. The melody line just popped back into my head the other day. Enjoy.
Great stuff mate!! Get those business cards printed, make sure your page is sales friendly, get ready for those orders!!!
And tanks for the mention!! Im famous!! LOL hehe
Cheers for the welcome, and I guess Happy Birthday too?!?! Hope you have a great day, I shall have to check out the Brummie Cigbox fest, thanks for letting me know!!! Cheers, Jon

Yes, I cycle, but I am recovering from an injury at the moment and have been unable to cycle for a long time. Hoping to get back into training next year.
Although I have off road bikes (mainly single speed) I enjoy riding fixed gear cycles on the road. I am an Audax rider and (when fit) compete in long distance cycling events.
Thanks for the kind comments about my sound clips. I'd love to attend the festival, but I already have a gig on that weekend. I love the 'Early morning blues' track, but all of the music that you have recorded sounds really cushty.
Hi there soundsgood,
you were interested in the sound of my electric baritone ukulele. I have posted some soundbites on my music section and included one of the baritone. I hope you enjoy it.
From my understanding, lacewood is an oak of sorts - hence they sometimes call it silky oak. Either way, the clouds of smoke comin off my saw suggests its hard enough! lol And yup, its damn heavy too!
Hey Juju, thanks for your comments man. That lacewood - hard as hell! My gear hated it, and I prolly wont do another till I get a new blade in my saw. Think the queer grain doesnt help, but it sands nicely. Done anything with your lump yet?
I've been meaning to do a cover of this since I got my David Bowie Stylophone last Christmas. This song is outside my vocal range and difficult to sing, but ...
