Warren, thanks so much for the friend request! Very nice to see your work - I love the gas can reso and the others as well! Very nice work and so sorry to see the "booboo" that you acquired in the process of creating these instruments! Seems as though it comes with the territory and I've had my share of them as well.... Looking forward to seeing more of your work! Best, MM

The workshop was great - we had 7 players (just enough, not too much) and we were divided amongst complete novices and songwriters with notable chops. Everyone was really excited to play - I only brought dulcimers, so the limitations were good for the novices and inspiring for the skilled players. A wonderful day!

Hey Warren thanks for the kind words, and yeah its a fork, for the strings. I went thru about 3 of them before I found one that would bend that much and not break, shh don't tell the wife. It was cut out of a solid block of wood, with a rosewood fret board, oak dowel rod cut for the fret dots. I added the oak on the head so the tuner's didn't look so funny sticking up so high. As for hearing it, if only I could play a tune I would.

Hey Warren,
Just watched your video on the making of your cbg. I did make one at the boatshop, not nearly as professional as yours, but at least I have one under my belt. I am waiting to do the finish coat until I am sure all my tweaking is done. Now all I have to do is learn how to play. I ordered the one cd (the cheap) one which will be here soon.

I'll get some pictures poseted one of these days.

hey warren just wanted to share what i did for the jack mount, I just wrote dianne and told her what I did, similar to you I used a forsner bit but went all the way though then used a small piece of maple to make a mount witch I also used the forsner bit to router out on the back side, this way you can make as many mistake as you can stand all you have to do is get a new piece of wood and the box is ok. I used screws but im sure you could glue it to get that screwless look. thats my suggestion, after my first build I said I would do somthing different next time and thats what I came up with, sift through my pics and you will find a close up shot of it.
