Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee

Thenuge, thanks for the comment on my guitar head. The main part of the neck is oak and the accents and fretboard are some kind of rosewood.

sound is my first priority when it comes to guitars made from wood.sometimes i get lucky and make them sound good first and they can look pretty cool too,if i,m lucky. but a ugly guitar that sounds good still has beauty in its voice. the trick to making them sound good takes a lot of different elements, luck is just one of those elements.

The Nuge ~
Give me 2/3 weeks ~ I`m a Chef at a private club and things are going strong right now . April looks busy so............... free time is all most non existent. But have two box's set to go. Just have to find time to stop by Lowe's. Have an old Berringher guitar that am going to pull tuning pegs off of. Electronic's shot so going to hook up with Ted and pick up a harness and bridge/piezeo set - up.

Good to know. That's one of those things I've been thinking about doing, but it *sounded* like a pain in the ass.

I've done toothpick frets, but not wild about the feel. I may cave and buy some real fretwire. I hear it's not that big a deal, but just doesn't have that MacGyver feel...

Mr. Nuge sir, like the Punch 4 banger if you don't mind my asking what do you have under the hood for electronics?

Hey Man thanks for the comment. Yes it is oak for the neck and walnut on the headstock, but the fingerboard is actually padauk.

Hey Nuge, Thanks for the invite. Your guitars look real nice! I've been helping my kid make his first one. He's the player... I'm the listener and proud dad. We just made our first one with a few tweaks to finish up. Doesn't sound too bad. We're anxious to get started on another one. See ya around.

Man i am trying to learn some. Just wasn't born with that gift. My son plays and I've always encouraged it. Maybe after I finish the 4 stringer i am planning ,I'll have better luck not getting my fingers tied in knots. lol. I finally just accepted that building will have to suffice as my contribution to the music world.
