I hope to get some work done on the gurbanjo thing this weekend mostly getting bits together and how i want to amp it up but I got a list or two want to and must do you know how it is I will get there. I know i'll learn alot from the build. You can not beat home grown be guitars, duck chicks musice and veg. And ill sure gbbble up a turky or two.
Thats a great deal for a fretted board. As much time as I put into them I could never sell em that cheap. What do you use to thickness your boards? You got a table saw or are you planing?
Hi ya Dave! Thanks for the nice comment on the parlor guitar. It was a fun build and very hard to let go when it was finished. I made poor Harrison wait 2 weeks before I shipped it out.
I hope you enjoy your time here. There are some very creative people hanging out here. I look forward to seeing some of your work.
Hi Dave very sorry i only just got back to you - i was just checking the tracking details to see if the pickup had been deliverd and noticed it was on the 8th May - so i came here to message you to see if it was ok for you then i noticed you had infact sent me a message already - seems i have not been receiving message updates for some reason !
anyway good to hear you like the pickup and got it safe and sound look forward to seeing what you build around it
As i wrote a few minutes ago... i've to spend much more time with all members here... while building guitars i missed many nice thing... all your phots are very interesting...showing details and results... you re a great box guitar builder !...
Hippy Chip commented that the simple build helps get back your perspective. I think he's probably right. Just set out to build one as fast as possible (half an hour) Now I'll have to resist the temptation to improve it

Thanks for the comment - nice to be appreciated!

Hi again Dave,
I use a program called MGI Photosuite for the collages.
It came with a cheap crappy camera. The camera soon went in the bin, but the software stayed :) Love your stained wood laptop slide.
I rather fancy having a go at one of those. It's the frets that I'm not sure about.
Cheers
Gary
Thanks for the comment Dave.
I'm curious now.. praps I'll make the next one WITH the pyrex lid and see what it sounds like. Cheers
Gary
thanks for the comment dave .
Great stuff Dave. Its always a good idea to take a couple of days out. Then view everything with a fresh pair of eyes. Good luck, Trev
Dave, you got it mate! Walk away and do your other stuff for a few days, works every time. Rest assured, I'll be here if you need an ear. Trev
