Hi John. Yes, London and nearby is a great idea. I was wondering whether to pluck (no pun intended!) up courage and ask if their were any other cbg nuts around the Guildford, Haslemere, Farnham triangle. Now you've pushed me into it! I've been ploughing through Kenny Lee's dvd for the last eight months (his 12 bar blues is close to your version, you go in a different direction at bthe end!) and have just started lessons with a slide guitar guy with an ambition to post out a half decent video ... I can but dream. Love the Black 10 year cbg in your pics. Good job, Bri

Thanks John. Good question. I wanted to have the bottom open, not the top. I also built it so the neck slides through a u shape frame in the front and a box frame at the tail end. I can take the neck out and put it back in. It is held in place with just one screw, works great. This would not have been possible if the top opened. I hope to have a video soon... Your latest builds look great, keep it up.

Thanks for the specific information on the adjustable bridge. I am always on the lookout for a design that has the potential to be implemented with off-the-shelf-hardware and normal tools whenever possible. You have given me some food for thought. I would also like to be able to terminate the strings on the bridge too.

John -- Shoot me an e-mail at tktreadway@aol.com with your address, and I'll send you a cd gratis. It's all just homebrew recording, but it ain't bad. Hey, your instruments are FANTASTIC, btw! -- Todd (Bear)

Those are some great pics of Roadkill 3, John... I'd like to ask you about your string action. I myself have been looking high and low for advice on angling my future necks for more uniform string action. Those bridge elements look like they raise the strings quite a bit off the soundboard... Did you do any neck angling on it?

Hi John I presume the strings go through the slots in the screw heads  but where are they secured. My first attempt finished up with one major fault ,it finished up with neck bend even though I used 2 major nuts to secure it.I have now started  my second but this time I shall be using a Tele Hot Rail pick up instead of a rod piezo pick up plus it won't have a cone, I shall use that in a future build. If you intend to sell your new bridges I would be very interested. Kind regards Mal
