Thanks Andries. This virtual fun really is fun! I like your poster and great videos. The bright lights of Monterey glow on the Western Horizon in early morning. Looking forward to shaking your hand on Friday Feb. 1. Less than a week away! Safe travels. ... Dave

AD thank you so much and best wishes to you for a safe and Happy New Year. Yes you are so right the holidays tend to bring out the worse in people. I think a lot of it is the commercialization of the holidays. I am trying to write a song about how the business world and their greed have taken all the joy out of Christmas and the holidays. All it is to them is a way of making more money. Anyhow that is a whole nother story. You have been a lot of help to me on here with your support and hints. I have the utmost resepct for you and the others on here. Thanks again
1930 pie dishes sound ok too and you can put a magnetic pup under them with a ni mag as they are steel I think.. (unless they are tin?)
I think I could almost turn anything into something and get a tune out of it.. it just might not be good.. love that resonator thanks for sharing sorry for my spaming your page..
Nothing goes to waste in our house lol...(fake plastic dog poo and a stick from the park)... i built this to do jimi hendrix and burn it but i liked it too much to burn it!
Cool resonator, did you every see my vibrocoil pickup works the same way
also a old tin scales top in a guitar sounds great, also I have tried mica sheet and the tpoilet seat resonator with a dexian front, I also made a steel fronted acoustic too... steel is good use 5 small holes is all you need and man its loud... the white reso has 4 small holes and sounds great...shane wagstaff build , probably his best ever... love the sound of steel and metal... washing up bowl and old tin scale top and stick from the park lol... works though (see my poo stick guitarfor a laugh)
All good Andries, excuse the hipster comment. I live in California, we’re overpopulated with over groomed beards & trendy uke players. I can’t wait till they jump on the next bandwagon & let us real men do our thing? I like to keep it a little to real sometimes? I’m bearded too, but only cuz a man is supposed to be :D cheers

Bugs Vibrocoil works away from strings or under them too for an acoustic and electric mixed sound.. buzzer coil with NI mag and steel screw

Yea, you can still get them, but everything imported in the states carries a hefty price tag?
That Honeytone is a fun little amp and great for testing out new builds, thanks Andries!
