Kevin, I believe you are right about Corrina being a good song for varied interpretations. I like your version a lot and it's much different than mine. I like the harp on yours. I could not make harp sound right, so I left it off.
Knotlenny, thanks for the comment on my vid. Unfortunately i won't be in York this year. My sister is getting married that weekend. Maybe next year! Thanks again.
I am honored to call you my CBN friend! I've seen some of your work and vids....top notch man! I've got a long hard climb to even begin to catch up! But I'm out here tryin"!
Hey, cuz! I think you and I may be very distantly related. My grandfather, Albert Milton Sprague, and his father Charles, came originally from Swan's Island, Maine, and settled in Buffalo, N.Y. That's where my father, Richard ( the geologist / engineer), and his brother Roger (the artist) was born. They both died last summer.
Interesting to see more performing Spragues out there. Most of us seem to gravitate toward the industrial sciences (the Sprague Valve Company, and the Sprague capacitors), or the arts . I guess I'm lucky to kinda combine both!
Much enjoying your recordings. Keep it real, and keep it up!
Thanks for the friend request. I see you are a fellow Upstate NY'er. I enjoy seeing your videos and advice on CBN. I wish I would have been involved in this whole addiction back in 2008 when you did your fest. We spend a fair amount of time around the Finger Lakes where my wife and I grew up.
You may be interested in this link, especially if you have not complete the "restoration work" on the "How to make a CIGAR BOX VIOLIN" article that was photocopied and posted somewhere on CBN. I was so frustrated by the illegible photocopy that I re-entered the text, re-drew the diagrams and edited the photos into a CBN discussion located in the "CB FIddles" group discussion area. Of course, after completing that I come across the work you did. But, since the second part had not been completed (as far as I can tell), I thought I'd let you know and save your the trouble. The discussion is entitled 'Here's a Readable Re-Write/Re-Draw of the article "How to Make a CIGAR BOX VIOLIN" By P.M. Pennell'.
Hey Knotlenny, do you have any instructional videos for sale? I loved you made bout Maybellene. You made it so easy. I am very interested in buying some more lessons from you on DVD. Thanks.
Thank you Knotlenny for your comment. Oddly, I was working for my engineering degree after leaving the USAF as a Radar technician, when I went into the arts instead...cooking (got laid off a couple years ago), music (teaching, street performance, selling CDs), and the martial arts (currently I teach therapeutic exercise; Tai Chi Chuan, Chi Kung). I have been working out the whole arrangement, and hope to post it as an instrumental. Enjoy.

Knotlenny,
Have you issued a link for the MC download yet? I have someone locally here in KSA who would like (as I would) to hear it.

You are very welcome and very deserving. Hopefully, my request will push you to make some lessons videos. I am positive you could sell them.
