How the tail -piece must be enough lower than the saddle, etc. Right or wrong, I was worried about too much downward pressure on that nice resonator. So, I think what I did was cut the dowel so there would be space between it and a neck support, but not much- so if it pushed the cone down too much it would relieve the pressure. Keep in mind that I am a hack builder! Good luck, sir. I hope you get a great sounding, great playing CBG.
