Cigar boxes are a gateway.  Certain other side effects such as tattoos (yes, I got my first 2 this year) and quitting your day job (yes, I did that) may also occur.  Please use caution.

I like the way you think.  I'm a little more partial to blue, but purple is one of the school colors.  And the gray should take the dye well.

Oh, there it is. Ok, dye it purple. Might as well have a full-on mid-life crisis. ;-)

I got one Ron, but it is gray and I trim it close so not easy to see in the pics.

You need a soul patch. It would look kewl on your face, and go with the tats.

Getting some JAM on our toast this morning!

12-bars in the key of G.  :)  I had to put stones in my pockets to keep from floating away.

Glenn,

Without getting too close to expressing anything that could be interpreted as an emotion, I'll say the feeling is mutual.  :)

Jim,

Yes, I'm starting off the best year of my life. . .and I've had some I thought were just fine before this.  Going back to college at 41 isn't easy, but it is allowing me time to do some really important things like eat lunch with my daughters at school, spend creative time in the shop and take a bit of a different look at life.  Lots of great reflective time with a carving gouge in hand.  If I'm really honest, I'll say I probably would not have quit my day job if not for making guitars - not that I'm getting any income from guitars.  And the likelihood of the tattoos would be less as well.

Both you guys are a big influence for me in similar ways.
