Hi again, without seeing the instrument but going on past experience, I have known for strings to stick in the slot if it is too deep causing it to break there, or if you are using a threaded bolt the slots may need smoothing with a small file. Also check that the angle of the string from the nut slot to the string post is not too severe.

Gauges are .044, .034 and .026 bronze guitar strings.

The only variable here is I had CBGitty Nickle strings but broke one so I went to my local music store and bought regular guitar strings. So other that nothing else has changed......any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. Ive re-ordered some Blues Blaster strings to replace the original ones I tore up.

Hi, check the gauges of the strings you are using, are they made to tune to the pitch you are trying to achieve?  Where in their length are they breaking? Check the contact points of the string, tailpiece, bridge, nut and tuner post.
