Part 1

Hey all you CBGers out there.

I hail from Dublin, Ireland so I'm a loooooong way from the Delta!

Nearly finished my first basic 3 string fretless. No woodwork experience at all, no man-cave, tool shed (just a shed full of crap), or tools for that matter, Just a 2yr old daughter running wild when I get a few precious moments in the day to drill or sand something! LOL

Has been a real eye opener. Kudos to all you Guys'n'Gals for your wonderful creations.…

This blog post is part self-motivational speech. If I am honest about myself, I know that I love to learn new things and understand things fully but actually finishing a project is not my strong suit. Sometimes I like to see all the lights turn green before I leave my driveway. It's really dumb when you put it into words like that.

Somehow this wonderful rabbet hole escaped me until recently, but I'm disappearing down it fast. I don't even play (yet) but I'm very interested to learn 12 bar blues slide on a three string of my own making (in the planning and parts accumulation stage now).

My personality type is 1/2 artist & 1/2 scientist, so you can imagine how Cigar Box Guitars tickles my fancy in so many ways...

CBN and CBG newbie here. Just trying out adding a blog post to see where it shows up, etc. This site is SO RICH that I'm sure I haven't scratched the surface of all of the knowledge and inspiration to be found here.
