help with neck to box size

My cigar box is smaller then most. should I shorten the neck? or do i keep a the same neck lenght and add more frets. My box is 6 1/4 by 7 1/4 inches

Hi,
Your discussion on a sound hole pick up is closed for some reason - one thought is you would need to check the width of E to e string at the soundhole as acoustics can have a bigger width than an electric so these strings my lie off the pickup and not pick up so well.
