glad you liked the fretboard...the fretboard itself is wenge, and the position markers and headstock veneer are canarywood.As for how to set it up, I just lay the board up to a backpacker guitar i have and mark the fret locations.this board I slotted with a coping saw, but Ted pointed me in the direction of a pull saw from home depot. Can't wait to see your first build!
