fret cutting jig

Made a simple but effective jig for cutting fret slots. Pictures show the story. It works great. I just use a template to mark the fretboard, slide it in the "slot" and go. Continue

- looking online for info to build one
- How many instruments have you built so far?
- Frantically waiting for a couple of parts, so I can finish my fourth, which is MY lefty three string.
- What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).
- now too old and arthritic to play my other two six strings or my banjo; very frustrating, so decided I could do a 3string build and (maybe!) play slide blues. Have always liked the style .
Well, finished my first one and it was a hoot to build. Don't know how well I will learn to use it, but at least my fingers work better this way.

Hi Alan,
Read your question about f-hole templates, but unfortunately, the way the forum software works, when you message "all members" there is no way to reply directly. You have to ask via a "discussion post" in the group.
Anyway, Gitty markets templates in negative and positive layouts. Your preference would rely on the method you use to mark and cut.
